Is it true that you should wear anti aging creams before you get wrinkles?

I’ve heard that the way to prevent wrinkles is to use anti- aging products when you’re young. Any truth?

The way to prevent wrinkles is taking care of your skin.
Don’t wear pounds of makeup, and wear sunscreen when you go outside, even in the winter because there are still harmful rays being put out.

You do not need products. Just take care of your skin, k? Thanks.

What health care problem should I address in a statistics assignment?

Filed under: Health — admin @ 5:39 pm

I have to make a power point about a health care problem for a statistics class and include a frequency table, which means I need actual numbers, not percentages as most statistic information is portrayed. Does anyone know what would be a good health-related topic where I could find actual numbers easily? Or any good websites for health-related data?

The Robert Woods Johnson Foundation is a research think tank. They have all kinds of references to interesting research around health care and health reform. With a little digging, you may be able to contact some of the researchers.

WebMD is another useful source for anything and everything health care.

Can a 19 year old start using anti aging cream?

I was wondering whether using anti aging cream rather then normal moisturizer would make a bigger difference in the future for my skin

You know the old saying ‘Prevention is better than cure’
Why wait until your face starts to wrinkle when you can delay them dramatically with a good anti aging cream.
Moisturisers are great but a good anti aging cream contains quite specific ingredients to combat wrinkles, sagging skin, dry skin etc.
I keep saying a good anti aging cream because there are tons of them on the market, most of them are just moisturisers masquerading as anti aging creams.
So if you can afford it why not go for it, otherwise at your age I’m sure a decent moisturiser will keep your skin soft until those naughty lines start to appear.

Do the old consume too much health care? How should health care resources be distributed across the population?

Filed under: Health — admin @ 12:35 am

What are each generations obligations to those before and those after them? Do the old consume too much health care? What is too much? How should health care resources be distributed across the population? Should health care be explicitly rationed on the basis of age?

Interesting question. How many young people, say 30 and younger have paid into a health insurance plan since they were first employed? How many of these have had extreme health issues that otherwise would have wiped them out? Truth is, and the insurance companies know, is that the youth have *always* subsidized the elderly because statistically, one is more likely to need to *use* health insurance when one is older, than when one is younger. So, younger folks premiums go to the cost and care of those who are older. In a way, not unlike a Ponzi scheme.

Is this bad? In strict terms of the youth subsidizing their older compatriots, no. But when it gets dicey is that the youth get old eventually, and when they get their insurance revolked because of a pre-existing condition, or, they have become too expensive to cover and subsequently get cancelled by their health insurance company, that’s when it becomes criminal.

So, short answer, no. There should be a Public Option that ensures the health care of everyone.
